Thinking of You card for Nikki

I just had to make “So Sorry” a Saturated Canary image for my niece Nikki. She has been going through a very rough patch with severe pain. She is one to think of others first and soldiered on going to school to teach everyday. Next week she goes to the doctor and hopefully will find some answers.                                                 Randy was going through her town and offered to hand deliver it.

Week 20 DLP Use A Rubber Stamp In A Different Way

I have a TON of stamps but I just wasn’t coming up with anything. A few people from the company Randy works for were in town so we all went out for Japanese food. I was putting my napkin back on the table and really looked at it. “EUREKA” there was my project! They had a flower on it and the petals looked like hearts. I knew I had heart stamps. I tried all of them and I liked this one the best. I stamped it on deli paper. I have to say these are by far my most favorite pages. I also used neon acrylics so it is bright and cheerful. Really needed it after this Winter.

The stamps for this page and the next are Fancy Florals from Dylusions. Love them! I colored the flowers and stems with Dylusions spray inks.

As you noticed I skipped quite a few weeks. I hope to catch up with them sometime. I just take way to long to do my pages.

Documented Life Project (DLP) Week One

Okay, here we are into week 17 of 2014 and I have just finished Week 1. LOL  I really stepped out of my comfort zone by starting this project. I am liking it though. If you want to start it you can find it here. Week one was draw or take a pic of your front door. My first four pages were done with acrylics, stamping and watercolors.

First pic is of the diary part of the project.

Second pic is of the two-page spread I did. Our house has the heart on it. 🙂

Tip in page is of  our front door that I drew. First time I’ve drawn since Freshmen Art Class!
