I decided to make a birthday card for my nephew’s son Jacob this year. He is such a sweetheart. He probably won’t remember me from last Summer but I wanted him to know I think of him often. I decided being a boy he probably spent a great deal of the Summer on his bike. I actually used a Magnolia stamp haven’t used one in years as I’ve gotten into the digi scene. It was fun to dig them out again. so here is my card for Jacob.
I had so much fun coloring and making this card for him. You can’t see it but I did use Glossy Accents on the reflector on the bike. I’m so glad I had this done before we went to Glacier. I couldn’t believe it when I tripped over a tree root. I had walked over the rocky dried river bed and 2′ from the edge I tripped and messed up my left side from top to bottom. Then I’ve been doing my Fall cleaning and today twice I fell off my three-step stool. I hurt from head to toe. Specially my left wrist. I have the bedroom all tore apart so I have to keep going.
Thank you for stopping and visiting with me for a while. As always I appreciate the love you leave.
Have a great week!
I wanted to make the guys a special project this year for Christmas. Drew’s project is in the previous post. Randy’s is a Kathy Orta waterfall pocket album. I loved doing these special projects for them. I used SEVEN Magnolia images on it.
The morning I got up to do this project I told myself I was trying all sorts of new things I’d never done before. So I’ll get right to it.
I used Merry Christmas Tilda for the cover. I also used TH mini poinsettia die along with Magnolia’s swirl die. I have watched Zoe’s videos on how to color folds but just didn’t get the hang of it. I have the Magnolia “Sweet Christmas Dreams” 2011 magazine and it has an article in it by Zoe on page 54. I feel the information just clicked for me. So here is my first attempt at folds.
In the first pocket I used Magnolia’s Fir in Snow. I’ve always loved this image. I guess my love of pine trees coming through. My first attempt at night sky. I also used the MS pine needles edge punch on the pocket.
Next up are more folds in Tilda’s apron using the Tilda with Christmas Tree.
Randy always puts the Christmas tree lites on so I had to use Lighting Edwin. More folds on the jeans. I used the large holiday lites punch on the pocket.
For the last pocket I used three images. Tilda with string of glitter, tighter folds, Tilda decorates Christmas tree, I did this image three times grrrrr and the Christmas tree.
Shot of how the album looks.
Thanks for sticking with me on such a long post. The album has two more sets of pages so the album is a work in progress.
Have a wonderful 2013! Thank you for leaving all your wonderful comments they are truly appreciated!

I’ve had all the images stamped for over a year. I changed my mind last year on his Fall card. This year I thought it was perfect. I am getting more patient than other years. I waited until he received the card. Actually, he received it Monday. Mailed it Saturday! WOW! Yesterday we were gone all day as hubby had a job interview.
I will digress here for a moment. I got my hair cut the other day. It had been the longest ever in my life. Probably a good 8-10″ below my shoulders. I have to say I really miss it! I feel strange. It’s now maybe an inch or two below my shoulders. Hmm, with all that’s going on in our lives and I’m upset about missing hair. 😦
For Drew’s card I used mini Magnolia’s. Cool Edwin is a favorite of mine and LOVED the wheelbarrow with spring tulips in it. I masked the tulips when I stamped the wheelbarrow and then masked the wheelbarrow and added some adorable pumpkins! Bet you didn’t know there were adorable pumpkins out there! LOL Oh yes, the card is only 4 1/2 x 4 1/2″.

I have 5 cards sitting here ready to go to special people. Annette your birthday card is ready for Friday. Then 5 Halloween cards. Mady and Sydney’s are done. I made 3 Halloween cards for my two sisters and myself. It’s the Saturated Canary Witchkeys one. I thought it was PERFECT!!! I REALLY went outside the box for me! I hope to finish them tomorrow. I’m to the embellie part. The hardest part for me.
Thanks for looking and always appreciate the love you leave me.

Sydney is Madyson’s baby sister. Here she is a month old and still has a month to go before she should have born! We saw her at about 3 weeks. It brought memories back from when my son was born 6 weeks early. So tiny!! I had trouble sleeping that night. You think you have dealt with a traumatic event and then find out you haven’t really. Life is not easy. Anywho, on to Sydney’s card.
This is only the 4th Magnolia I’ve colored this year. I’ve gotten more into digi’s this year. Pros & Cons to each.

Thank you for visiting and leaving a little love.
LOVE, LOVE this image from Mo Manning!! I love everything about peaches! The fuzzy feel in your hand, the peach to yellow color, the heavenly smell of peaches and then you have the “awwwww” flavor of them! I can’t wait for peach season! I love peach crumble, crepes with peaches and peach crisp. I could go on forever but I’m sure you get the idea I love peaches!! One year we were in Colorado during peach season. We bought a huge bag and had a peach every day!!
One of my first projects once I’m done with my book is to make a card with this image. I have 10 images to go. I have them all printed out and ready to go.
I took a close-up of the peaches to show that I put some peach fuzz on them! hehe

Well, we are starting our fourth month of unemployment. I received an email from a cousin which included something I’ve heard all my life. It had an added segment I’d never heard but is TOTALLY what we’re feeling. “Whenever God Closes One Door, He Always Opens Another, Even Though Sometimes It’s Hell in the Hallway”. We’re still in the hallway! 😦
Tuesday morning after MUCH procrastinating I FINALLY decided it was time to color again. I decided to do something I would throughly enjoy! That was to make a book of my favorite images! For Magnolia that took no thought at all. From the minute I saw “Spring Bundler” I loved her. Quite a difference of coloring from the first one I colored. 🙂 She’s here. Although, I still like the card!
If you know me at all then you know that the color peach, orange has to be involved!! I just look at it and smile!!!! It makes me happy!!
