Wow! This is going to be one loooooong winter here. So far, we have received 46.9″ of snow in December. We had a blizzard starting Christmas Day going into Monday. So both guys were home as nothing was moving that day. We have a tunnel to get out of our driveway. Next week we start the sub-zero temps for the forseeable future. On to better things, here is Randy’s Christmas card. I used Christmas Lights Sprite from Aurora Wings. I had so much trouble with the finishing of this card. I kept working on it for days adding things here and there. I used the lights punch from EK Success. Colored them with copic markers and finished them with Diamond Glaze. Everything else was from the Tim Holtz lines. The window die, Merry Christmas Stamp, brick stencil which I then used texture paste. I used Distress Inks on the bricks to highlight them.
Inside the card is the image.
Drew’s card is next. I used Chill from Mo’s Digital Pencil. Love this image as this is how we feel here until about June 1st. I kid you not. I used Cotton Ball white Fun Flock for all his fur. I masked the image and sprayed Marshmallow Glimmer Mist all over the background and used Wink of Stella clear on the steam coming out of his mouth.
The dots that look yellow are not that color in IRL. They are a beautiful sparkle like the rest of the card.
May all of you have a wonderful 2017!
Thank you for all the times you have visited with me over 2016. Know that each time was appreciated. See you next year!
It is so nice to stay in touch with friends from Iowa. I miss the times of sharing ideas and learning new things from them. It is such a joy to receive cards and beautiful projects from them and such a joy to send them cards and projects I’ve made. Annette happens to be (in my opinion) one of the best for making CAS, beautiful, elegant cards. Always a thrill to receive a card from her. I have used her ideas for cards more than once. Anywho, back to her card. We happen to be FB friends also. She posts a grateful post every day. I have noticed she mentions seeing flowers often. So decided on the perfect image for her card. I used Mo’s “Flower Jar” for her card.
I colored it using Copics

Now to start Christmas cards! Thank you for stopping to visit with me for a while. Always appreciate the love you leave.
Every year I have every intention of sending Molly a birthday card. Every year the same thought runs through my head. ” She has a degree in Art” so every year I chicken out. Well, this year I was on a roll coloring and decided this was the year I am going to do it. She probably fainted when she actually received a card! I really had a lot of fun coloring her card. I used “Sunflower Sprite” by Aurora Wings digis. So here it is.
The weather has turned to Fall here already. We’ve had temps in the 50’s for highs. Fall is my favorite time of year all of those beautiful oranges, rusts and earthy tones.
Thank you for stopping and visiting with me for a while. As always I appreciate the love you leave me.
Have a great week.
I decided to make a birthday card for my nephew’s son Jacob this year. He is such a sweetheart. He probably won’t remember me from last Summer but I wanted him to know I think of him often. I decided being a boy he probably spent a great deal of the Summer on his bike. I actually used a Magnolia stamp haven’t used one in years as I’ve gotten into the digi scene. It was fun to dig them out again. so here is my card for Jacob.
I had so much fun coloring and making this card for him. You can’t see it but I did use Glossy Accents on the reflector on the bike. I’m so glad I had this done before we went to Glacier. I couldn’t believe it when I tripped over a tree root. I had walked over the rocky dried river bed and 2′ from the edge I tripped and messed up my left side from top to bottom. Then I’ve been doing my Fall cleaning and today twice I fell off my three-step stool. I hurt from head to toe. Specially my left wrist. I have the bedroom all tore apart so I have to keep going.
Thank you for stopping and visiting with me for a while. As always I appreciate the love you leave.
Have a great week!
I have another card. Shocking isn’t it! 🙂 I have looked at this Mo Manning “Summer Girl” for a couple of years and thought this would be the “perfect” image for Sydney! She has the little pigtails and wears adorable little sundresses. Even looks like her. I finally bought the image a couple of weeks ago. So here she is.

Thanks for stopping and visiting and leaving some love. Have a great weekend.
I always do things the hard way. I decided about a week before Christmas I was going to make Randy, Drew and Madyson a matchbox for their Christmas card. I took a class from Kate Crane online on how to make matchboxes. I had so much fun doing them that I hope to make more!! Madyson’s box was using Tim Holtz die so that was easy. Randy and Drew’s I had to find a pattern that was bigger. Then cut the pattern out of plastic so I could reuse it over and over again.
I decided for the guys to make books. That required sewing with a machine. Ok, sewing is not my thing. First book, whew, no problem! Second book, oh no, my machine got stuck in one place so I had a big gob of thread. Yikes! So I had to try and fit a piece of duct tape over the first piece. If you have every worked with duct tape you know how much fun that was. 😦
They are a combination of Distress Inks, Mixed Media and rubber-stamps and pens. Both images were from Stampotique. The angel was one Kate Crane’s images called Angel Squared and Heart Boy by a different artist. I colored them with copic markers. I’ll warn you a lot of pictures.
I thought she could practice her ABC’s on the little book. What a keepsake for her when she gets older and looks back and her first printing.
I wish you all the best in the coming new year!
Thanks for stopping and visiting with me for a while and for leaving me some love.
