Little Darlings Challenge – Cold!

This will be my last card for the Little Darlings Design Team. I leave with many fond memories. I believe I have learned to step outside my box a little more often. ūüôā It has been an honor to work with such talented ladies for the past few months.

I chose Snowy Friends as my last card! Even though we are having temps in the ¬†40’s! We should be 20-30 degrees colder and having snow. It’s a very unusual Winter no snow yet! I love how it looks after a fresh fallen snow.

This challenge will  run until the 10th of  January. So be sure to go to the Little Darlings Challenge Blog to enter your masterpiece!!

For those of you who follow regularly I STILL do not have an oven!! After 5 calls he finally came with the piece. Only to find out that wasn’t what was wrong!! The 26th we went to Des Moines ¬†and ordered a new stove and refrigerator. Our refrig is almost 33 years old! We figured any day now it will quit. The only problem is that they are so backlogged we won’t get it until FEBRUARY!! Insert a HUGE sigh here. ūüė¶

Here’s hoping that 2012 will be a GREAT year for everyone!

I’ll be posting Randy’s Christmas card this week. It is a variation of Drew’s book card only I made a box where the book part was. I was very pleased with how it turned out. I still have Madyson’s card to make. And so it never ends. LOL

Little Darlings Challenge 13 – Favorite Thing About Christmas/Winter

Where does the time go? I can’t believe it is time for another challenge! This will be a fun one, the only problem is to decide what is your favorite thing about Christmas. Get your thinking caps on and enter your card on the Little Darlings Challenge blog. This challenge will run until the 27th of December. A chance to win a $20 gift certificate if you use a Little Darlings stamp on your card. A $10 gift certificate if you use another company.

Don’t forget you can go check out the Love To Stamp Store Blog to see what’s new

I used the Decorating the Tree stamp. Although, I just wish I could snap my fingers and the tree would be decorated!!! LOL I like the finished look but not all the work.

Ok, enough chit-chat here’s my card. C & S like I like to do.

In my family (sisters & cousins) I have this reputation that you can walk in my house and everything has a place and is in it. Well, let me tell you that is not true. It just took me a considerable amount of time to find my notes on my card! I have all the stuff for this card plus I’ve been working on Drew’s card for a week. There are PILES everywhere!!!

When I last posted I was waiting for the oven repairman. I am STILL waiting for him. After  three calls he HOPEFULLY will be here by the end of the week.

I really went out of the box for Drew’s card. It took me days to convert cm to inches. Make my prototype and decide not the right size so back to figuring a new size and another prototype! I will give you a hint. Just imagine 15″ of snow!!! I tell ya sometimes when you try something new it backfires on you. By then you’re in to deep to stop now!! ROTFLOL!!!! So be sure to come back tomorrow and check it out. Hopefully, it will be done by then.

May you all have a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Little Darlings Winter Release

Every time a new release ¬†comes out I think they can’t be as cute as the last ones! Every time I’m wrong because they just keep getting cuter!! I did 2 of the 3 images. The first one is Catching Snowflakes! How many times as a kid did we stand outside in the falling snow trying to catch snowflakes on our tongue!!! If you look really close you can see that I put a snowflake on her tongue.

As you can see I went all out with the glitter!!! I also put Fun Flock on her hat and hood. I used Crystal Lacquer on her boots.

If possible I went even more crazy with glitter on Ice Dancer!! Even put Stickles on the flowers and Let It Snow sentiment. Linda, I would like you to note that I had the option of using orange and used pink instead!!! ūüėČ

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration. I know I really had fun with these two cards!

Thanks for stopping and visiting a while with me. I appreciate the wonderful comments you leave me.

Pumpkin Racer & Favorite Color Combo

What can be better than an orange and blue color combo!! You have to know I love this card! LOL My sister and her hubby have been building a house in the same city as my niece (their daughter) her hubby and of course, our precious Madyson! They are down to the wire and packing like madmen!! The movers are coming on my B-I-L’s 60th birthday! Yep, my sister, hubby and B-I-L all had 60th birthdays this year! All different families. No, I am not near 60! A few years to go yet. ūüôā

Anyway, I digress. I thought this might be the perfect birthday card for him as they are racing to get moved and had wanted to be in by his birthday. Notice I did the image out of the nestie technique. I really wanted him to look like he was zooming for the finish line! I found this sketch on Bev Rochester’s blog. Anywho, here’s my card.

Yesterday I talked about our maple tree out in our front yard. So Christina here’s a picture of it.

Usually this tree is full and beautiful in the Fall. The drought this last Summer and then the hail last week was pretty hard on it. A lot of the leaves fell off while they were still green. My mums this year were just out of sight. They are HUGE it took a whole sheet to cover one mum when we were having freeze warnings.

One last photo of the view I have every day outside my studio window!

Thanks for hanging in here with me this turned into a long post. Thank you for leaving your wonderful comments they mean so much to me!

Have an awesome coming weekend!
