Randy and Drew’s Christmas Cards

I hope everyone’s Christmas was wonderful. For the first time in years we were able to be with family. The time was so short but we packed a lot in the time we had.                                                                                                                                                Randy’s card is first. I saw it on Splitcoaststampers and loved it on sight. I smooshed the background using dried marigold, weathered wood with gold metallic rub. Then I cut Tim Holtz skinny tree die out of gold metallic paper. I used Tim’s believe die and cut it out of the gold metallic paper. Love how it turned out.

Drew’s I saw on Richele Christensen’s blog. I didn’t have everything so I used what I had. I didn’t have a die that cut the snow so I just used two different sized circle punches and punched away. I used gold paper so it looked like stars shinning through. I used both trees from the Tim Holtz Woodlands die set. Also used Tim’s treeline die. I used the Sizzix Winter Deer die and cut out the 3 deer that I wanted from it. I used the old Snow Angel from Quickutz alphabet dies. I cut three white ones and then the gold for the top layer. I wanted to it stand out. Of course, there is glitter on the trees and snow.

I can’t believe 2017 is drawing to a close. May 2018 be everything you’re hoping for. Thank you for all your visits in 2017 they were appreciated.

  1. Let me be the first to comment . . . these 2 cards were simply awesome. You went outside your box of things you’ve done and pulled them off with extreme success!

  2. Both cards are awesome. You have done some great cards this holiday season.
