Annette’s Birthday Card

It has been a long time since I’ve posted anything. We’ve had a busy Summer but I’m back at it again. Winter will be here before we know it. 😦                                           When I saw this idea for a card I knew I had to make it for Annette. Her daughter is a photographer and has taken many beautiful boken photos. You can find the tutorial here. As usual I didn’t have any of the colors. My first card I didn’t like at all way to bright. I’m much happier with the second color choices.

You get the full effect of a boken from a distance.

Here’s a few pictures of what I’ve been up to this Summer. I’ve been rather obsessed with making macarons. Here is the bubblegum one.

Peach macaron

Well, that’s it for me today. Have a great week!

  2. The card is even more beautiful in real life! I love it! I’ve never tried broken with a watercolor background, but I will now, Thanks so much, Myrna.

  3. I thought both cards were great. Just a matter of how dark you like the colors. Always enjoyable having the cards on the piano for a few days before they get mailed. As for the macarons . . . they’re awesome, too.

  4. Great job designing both versions of these cards! They’re both good in their own ways! Love both the bubble gum and the peach macarons too!

    Great job love ya!
