Sydney’s 1st Halloween Card

by Myrna Irwin

Sydney is Madyson’s baby sister. Here she is a month old and still has a month to go before she should have born! We saw her at about 3 weeks. It brought memories back from when my son was born 6 weeks early. So tiny!! I had trouble sleeping that night. You think you have dealt with a  traumatic event  and then find out you haven’t really. Life is not easy. Anywho, on to Sydney’s card.

This is only the 4th Magnolia I’ve colored this year. I’ve gotten more into digi’s this year. Pros & Cons to each.

  • Stamp:  So Spooky Tilda – Magnolia/Corner Spider Web – PW
  • Paper:  Spookville – We R Memory Keepers
  • Die:  Branch Tree – Sizzix/Grass Border – C C Designs
  • Punch:  Iron Fence – MS
  • Copics:
  • Hair:  E50 E31 E25Clothes:  V20 V22 V25YG21 YG23 YG25 YR12 YR14 YR27
  • Broom:  E40 E42 E43 E44 Y21 YR23 E35

Have a great Sunday and week ahead!

Thank you for visiting and leaving a little love.

  1. Great job with Sydney’s card. Your hair and broom coloring were especially good. Loved your new banner photo, too.

  2. Wonderful card – absolutely wonderful card! All the layering looks wonderful – sweet and spooky! So hard to have a premature baby. You are all in my prayers.

  5. This is a beautiful card, and the colors are perfect for Halloween – congratulations!

  6. This is spooktacular! Fantastic layout, wonderful papers and Tilda is gorgeous! Love it!

  7. …And I’m STILL on my own bracket on the charts 😉 Awesome! Love the tree and Tilda and the GREAT paper choices!!! Great job coloring and coming up with the layout for Sydney’s card! She’ll have her own collection to look at when she’s older and rivals Mady:)

    Love Andrew

  8. Lucky little Sydney!! The spectacular, spooktacular colors-the lime, orange, black, and purple and the layout gets me all excited about Sydney’s 1st Halloween! Deb looked all over today and couldn’t find anything small enough for her to wear for Halloween. Not that she’ll be going anywhere this year. She is coming home tomorrow between 4-6 p.m. Andrew’s comment was precious!! That purple dress is too cute as purple is the IN-color for this fall and winter. You always just know how to pick the perfect colors don’t you? The broomstick looks sooo real, the rod iron fence, pumpkins and everything are out of this world!! Just a hour ago–I admired your baby card for Sydney and the Expecting A Baby card on Nikki’s entertainment center. Her Expecting A Baby card is so elegant and professionally done with a dynamic layout and color choices. And of course the pregnant mommy with the huge eyes and belly button takes my breath away–lots and lots of time and love put into those two cards. You rock sis!!

  9. You have done it again !!! Another spectacular card !!! Love the fence and little grass in front of it. You did a superb job of coloring. Love the purple dress with the orange underskirt. Wink !!! Oh, and I see lots of orange on this card. It truly is your favorite time of the year.

  10. This is so cute. The colouring on Tilda’s over skirt is fantastic. I’m copying down your colour combos — I have problems with purples! So like the iron fence and the tree dies — perfect! (PS, my first name is Sydney. I don’t use it, but am always tickled to learn of other Sydneys.)

  11. I love this card, so pretty and your coloring is beautifully done. I will pray for your little one! Enjoy.

  12. Myrna, this is darling! I love the Halloween DPs and your die cut fence and tree are awesome. Spooky Tilda is gorgeous and lovely coloring. A great card.

  13. Myrna, fabulous Halloween card! Love this not-so-spooky-looking Spooky Tilda and you’ve coloured her beautifully. Terrific scene you’ve created with those diecuts and punches. Wonderful DP’s.
    Hugs,
    Norma

  14. What a gorgeous scene you created here Myrna! Love the diecuts you used and the sweet papers to fit your theme. Beautiful card !!! hugs, Angela
