Halloween Card For Madyson

by Myrna

I can’t believe that it is almost Halloween!! Where did the year go? They just fly by faster every year! Last year for Madyson’s first Halloween I made a very untraditional colored card. Actually, it was  Magnolia’s “Love Bug” colored in pink and brown! So, this year I did a traditional colored card in of course, “orange”.

I’ve had these stamps for years and have never used them. Don’t we all have some of those!! LOL

Stats for card.

  • Stamps:  Fence, 2 Pumpkins, Pippi – C. C. Designs/Grass – Art Impressions/Happy Halloween Ticket – Stampers Anonymous
  • Paper:  Tangelo Blast – Bazzill/Tombstone, Jack O’ Lantern – eerie – BG
  • Nesties:  Lacy Square
  • Punch:  Corner Rounder
  • Inks:  rusty hinge, walnut stain, shabby shutters, peeled paint – DI
  • Copics:
  • Flesh:  E000 E11 E00
  • Hair:  E31 E23 E57
  • Pumpkins:  YR20 YR21 YR12 YR15 YR18 Y18YG93 YG95 YG97 E31 E23 E57
  • Wings:  YR0000 YR000 YR00
  • Fence:  E31 E23 E57
I’m actually going to enter a challenge!!
ATS Weekly Wednesday Challenge here

No baking this week. 😦 It was sure nice to have the goodies around. Our waistlines really didn’t need it though. LOL

I still have Drew’s Halloween card to make yet so back to work!

Thanks for visiting and leaving your sweet comments. Always love and appreciate them.

Have a great weekend!

  2. Awesome card! Love the coloring and designing of this one, one of these days Mady will begin to appreciate all the cards she’s received from you. Cool way to design that ticket too:) Keep it up, great work!!!

    Love always, Andrew

  3. I have more stamps than I could use in my lifetime! Your card is outstanding. That little girl is so cute!!

  4. Awesome job, Myrna. The coloring is outstanding, as were your selections of papers. The layout of the card is perfect and the bow, spider and Halloween ticket were great additions.

  5. What a sweet card, Myrna! Love that adorable image and your beautiful coloring! Awesome papers for Halloween too! hugs, Angela

  6. Spooktacular Halloween card for Madyson!!! Like Andrew said it will be incredible when she is older and can and WILL REALLY LOVE your special cards!! She has seen enough pumpkins so we will have to work on her saying the word, “PUMPKIN.” Your coloring gets more perfect with every card–how do you do it??? The little gal is adorable and your choice of papers is so pumpkin pie sweet and tantalizing tasty. My eyes went right for your creative Halloween Ticket with the 31 and the spider web. Your beautiful orange bow and the pumpkin on the silver chain will be sure to be touched by her tiny fingers after she points to the little girl with the pumpkin on her head. You can be assured that she will study the card in detail and point to everything on it-just like she does when we read books to her now. It will be a JOY to see her reaction and actually observe what she points to first. She is so aware of lots of little details in her books now!!!! What excitement for her to get a Halloween card like this one in the mail. BOO!!!!!! Guess who?

  7. she’s definitely the pick of the patch Myrna! love this Pippi! I have my card that I made with her a couple years ago out on the mantel! On the All That Scraps Wednesday challenge blog there is a show and tell feature now… a chance to win too… check it out… your Pippi fits right in! http://atsblog.typepad.com/wednesdayschallenge/2011/10/show-tell-with-ccdesigns.html
