Second Sneak Peek for Little Darlings

by Myrna

This time I’m doing the Croquet girl. She brings back many memories for me. My mom loved to play croquet! When we went home to visit, the croquet set quite frequently came out. She loved playing with the grandkids.

It brought back such good memories that I wanted to do it in bright cheerful colors. I can still see her with her yellow straw hat perched on her head as she played. 🙂 It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since she died.

On the 20th all the new stamps will be at the Love to Stamp store. Until then you can see all the sneak peeks at the Love to Stamp store blog and decide which ones you just have to have. 🙂 Don’t forget that Angie is giving some lucky person a set of Little Darlings. Also don’t forget that Little Darlings is sponsoring the All Sorts Challenge on the 18th of June. Don’t forget the Little Darlings Challenge is still going on until the 21st. You can use any stamps to make a card to enter.

🙂 Like I said bright and cheery!!

  1. This image is so sweet Myrna – your description of your happy times playing croquet with your Mom is wonderful. I can empathise with your loss, when our Moms are no longer with us, it leaves a huge hole doesn’t it.

Your card is lovely bright and cheerful, it made me smile and wish that here in the UK we could have some warm dry and sunny weather – our summer this year is a total washout – we had to put our central heating on last night as we were so cold ! brrrrrrrrrr……

  2. Love this Myrna! Gorgeous bright colors and layout not to mention beautiful coloring. Such a sweet image. Have a great weekend, hugs, Angela

  4. so cute Myrna, adorably colored! so fun to see croquet! our grands love to get the set out… I need to unbury it (it’s in the garage) lol! Now we just need a shuffleboard image… I think that’s what it’s called…we had that in our basement growing up and we all loved playing it.

  5. Great card, Myrna. Your selection of papers made the card bright and Cheery. The flowers were a nice added touch, too. And as always, loved your coloring.

This card is a ‘Special Tribute” to our Dear Mother who loved to play croquet. The colors are perfect in honor of her yellow straw hat and she so loved playing it with her grandchildren. Wonder if she is playing croquet in heaven. How many sets did we go through anyway?? I know we have two now and I can’t wait to teach Madyson how to play it. Your vibrant and brilliant colors are a reminder just how delightful, fun and full of life our dear mother always was. She taught us to love the challenge of playing croquet and always stressed that there is always a winner and that it is OK to come in 2nd, 3rd or 4th and still be a winner. Your last four cards have really taken me down memory lane and I THANK YOU for that journey.
